What will you be doing?
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be putting your mechanical (design, CAD, simulation, prototyping) skills to use by developing the mechanical solutions of our C&I battery systems. You will focus on reliability and production optimization. You will be working with our engineering team to deliver safe, cutting edge and manufacturable products.
- Be part of our engineering team to shape and design planet-friendly energy storage solutions.
- Designing, modeling and integrating mechanical solutions and components of Evyon’s Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including structural, thermal, and hydraulic analysis.
- Ensuring high reliability and safety of the systems that can be produced reliably and efficiently.
- Work diligently with the engineering and commercial team to understand improvement areas, develop improved product specifications, and lead the implementation efforts.
- Work closely with suppliers and the contract manufacturer to go from initial designs through prototypes to serial production.
What are the ideal qualifications?
Mandatory qualifications:
- BS/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in the mechanical design of products and components
- Advanced knowledge of MCAD, preferably AutoCAD Inventor
- Experience calculating and simulating mechanical (static, structural, modal) and thermal (heat transfer)
- Experience with design for serial/mass production (design for manufacturing)
- Hands-on experience working in a workshop building prototypes or similar practical experience
- Fluency in English is a must
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience calculating and simulating hydraulic systems is preferred
- Electrical knowledge and skillset is preferred (50V-1000V)
- Past Experience with certification processes is preferred (UL, CE marking)
- Experience design for reliability is preferred
